Marriage Care Retreat, 17-19 May, Location-TBD

** This opportunity is still in a contractual funding and award stage.  The Shaw Chapel team makes no promises of this activity being available on this date.  We will contact all those that are interested and register the status of award and location of this event. **

Does your marriage need a tune up? Or maybe it’s time for that 100,000 mile overhaul…well the Shaw Chapel team has planned an exciting marriage enrichment retreat for you and your spouse!

The retreat is designed as a wonderful time away for couples to deepen their marital love and commitment. The schedule is relaxed, with a mix of short talks, thought provoking discussion, and individual couple time. It is suitable for all faiths. Couples across this base have given this retreat a Five Star rating. It is designed as a child-free weekend. We don’t have the location firm at this time, but will have that information out to those who register as soon as we have firm contracts. The retreat is open to active duty members stationed at Shaw AFB, and it is FREE, which includes two nights lodging and four meals. You can register by clicking this link: Marriage Retreat Registration.

For more information, see this MarriageCare frequently asked questions HERE. We are waiving the period of time restriction for those who have attended other retreats and events. In fact we want you to attend this and the Family Resiliency Retreat if you wish. Please go HERE to sign up for the Family Resiliency Retreat. For photos of previous MarriageCare event go HERE.

Thank you Team Shaw for a tremendous 2012!

Thank you Team Shaw for a terrific 2012.  If the video above doesn’t play a transcript is provided below:

Ch Fitzgerald: Team Shaw chapel was just recently notified of winning the Carpenter Award as the best Large Chapel of the Year in Air Combat Command and will now compete for Best in the Air Force.  If you are familiar with our chapel staff and volunteers then you already know what I know – that this task was achieved as a team.

MSgt Cataldi: We especially do not want to forget the generous contributions of time, effort, and money offered by local faith communities, civic organizations, volunteers and the buy-in of our local leadership to make great things happen for the aim of serving people.

From Marriage Care Retreats to Deployed Family Dinners to Singles Events, our focused efforts at Warrior Care are making a difference by lifting the spirits and building the resilience of the people entrusted to our care.

Ch Fitzgerald: This summer we will sponsor several 3-day Family Getaway retreats at Camp Wateree, giving military families an opportunity to laugh, play, and pray together in a peaceful, therapeutic setting.  Great things continue to happen through Team Shaw chapel, and we are grateful for your prayers and continued generosity.  God bless you and thank you for your support.
