    Wateree Family Resiliency Retreat

The Team Shaw Chapel is hosting a series of Family Spiritual Resilience retreats this summer! You and your family are invited to Wateree Recreation Area for three days and two nights of fun, renewal, and connection. This opportunity is open to Active duty members and/or dependents who spouses are deployed or on a remote tour. If you are a single parent this is the retreat for you too! Any family (single parent or deployed/remote spouse) that is connected to an active duty service member will have first priority to this retreat. We are hoping to get families just separated by deployment or reunited from a deployment. Also, this retreat is aimed at capturing the single parent population that has up to now not been able to go on Marriage Retreats. If you have questions on eligibility or the opening up to other groups (dependents, contractors, civilians, guard/reserve or retirees) please sign up at our retreats page HERE for up to date notifications of changes to this retreat and early notification of all other resiliency retreat focused events.

The Chapel will cover the cost of a cabin and an evening banquet for you and your family along with a variety of fun and meaningful events. Your transportation to the retreat, all other meals and any other incidentals will be at your own expense. Additionally, military members will need to coordinate with their chain of command for time off to attend this event. You can choose from one of the four date options below:

    Wednesday 4 June - Friday 6 June

    Monday 9 June - Wednesday 11 June

    Wednesday 11 June - Friday 13 June

    Monday 16 June - Wednesday 18 June

You will have opportunities for quality family time in the scenic Wateree Recreation Area. Activities will include an outdoor movie, family dance night, “old timey” games, a family banquet, and a workshop on how to share meaningful stories across the generations. There will also be ample free time for you and your family to enjoy each other’s company.

The demands of military duty often include time away from home. This is an opportunity for concentrated quality time with your family. Please use the link below to sign up:

We hope you will join us!

**This event is reserved for Active Duty Members and their families only.  This opportunity is still in a contractual funding and award stage.  The Shaw Chapel team makes no promises of this activity being available on this date.  We will contact all those that are interested and register the status of award and location of this event.**
